December 31st – The New York Post reported on the 30th that a staff member of a medical institution in Wisconsin, USA, deliberately destroyed more than 500 doses of Moderna coronavirus vaccine. His motive is unknown and has been fired.
Aurora Medical Center in Wisconsin said in a statement recently that Grafton town staff admitted to deliberately taking 57 bottles of Moderna coronavirus vaccine from the medical center’s refrigerator on the 26th of this month.
This vaccine is for healthcare workers at Aurora Medical Center.” We are very disappointed that the employee’s actions would result in more than 500 people delaying vaccinations.”
Aurora Medical Center said that the employee violated the core values of the organization and has been laid off. Initial review revealed that the accident was caused by “accidental human error”, and further investigation found that someone deliberately did not freeze the vaccine.
Aurora Medical Center did not disclose the motivation of the employee’s behavior.
The local government was reportedly aware of the accident, and the FBI and the Food and Drug Administration have intervened in the investigation.
