In addition, the Supreme Council also stipulates that all local restaurants and hookah cafes should increase the table spacing from 2 meters to 3 meters, and the number of people sitting on each table in the restaurant shall not exceed seven people, and the number of people sitting on each table in the hookah cafe shall not exceed four.
On the same day, 3,552 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United Arab Emirates were recorded, a new high for 11 consecutive days. Due to the high number of infections, the local government has recently introduced some pandemic prevention measures.
For example, all hospitals in Dubai cancel non-emergency surgery for a period of one month to ensure that key equipment (such as ventilators, oxygen machines, etc.) are given priority to patients with severe COVID-19.
