The Bahrain National Health Supervision Bureau has officially approved the injection of the inactivated coronavirus vaccine developed by China Biological Research Group in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Listed.

Bahrain’s National Health Supervision Authority said in its official circular that its decision to approve and use the inactivated coronavirus vaccine of the National Pharmaceutical Group is based on the data of clinical trials conducted by the vaccine in several countries and the thorough review and evaluation of these data by several authoritative institutions.

The results of phase III clinical trials of the vaccine show that after testing 42,299 vaccination volunteers, the data show that its effectiveness rate is 86% and the neutralizing antibody seroconversion rate is 99%, which can 100% prevent moderate and severe COVID-19 cases.

The quality of the vaccine was further verified by the Bahrain National Health Regulatory Authority after reviewing the scientific data related to the development and production process of the vaccine and the stability of the product.

In addition, the Bahrain National Health Regulatory Authority also ensures that vaccine manufacturers fulfill their commitments to “follow the quality management norms of drug production” and “conform to international pharmaceutical industry standards and the requirements of the Bahrain National Health Supervision Authority”.

In addition, the Bahrain National Health Supervision Authority has consulted the Bahrain Clinical Research Committee, which is composed of medical experts, researchers, scholars and doctors. The committee is also responsible for approving relevant clinical trials. Bahrain Immunization Commission also approved the launch of the vaccine.

It is worth noting that in September this year, the Kingdom of Bahrain participated in the third phase of clinical trial of the Chinese bio-coronavirus inactivated vaccine of the State Pharmaceutical Group. The Crown Prince of Bahrain took the lead in vacculating the novel coronavirus vaccine as a volunteer.

More than 7,700 volunteers in Bahrain signed up for clinical trials of vaccines as part of the “4 Humanity” project.

Previously, the State Drug Administration of the Kingdom of Bahrain approved the emergency use of the vaccine based on preliminary results, providing it to front-line workers fighting against the COVID-19 epidemic.
