CHICAGO, Aug. 2 At least five people have been killed and 50 injured in a shooting in Chicago over the weekend, according to Chicago police.
A 32-year-old man was pronounced dead in hospital after being shot multiple times in the body around 0:20 a.m., FoxNews.com reported Tuesday. A few hours later, just before 3 a.m., a 30-year-old man died after multiple shots were fired into his chest and abdomen. At 10.49pm that night, a 36-year-old man was pronounced dead after being shot as he walked out of his home.
On the evening of July 31, a 28-year-old man was killed and two others injured in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side. Another shooting occurred around 9:25 a.m. that day, when a 27-year-old man was shot in the head and buttocks and died at the scene.
FoxNews.com called Chicago’s past weekend a “bloody weekend.” That followed a weekend in which at least 70 people were shot and 12 killed in Chicago. (
