2nd 2021 the 8th St. Petersburg IceBreakers Festival opened on the banks of the Neva River in Russia, during which citizens can board three regular Russian-active powered icebreakers for a tour.
During this year’s Icebreaker Festival, the most popular program was “Water Waltz”, in which three tugboats, accompanied by a live band, danced in the middle of the Neva River, completing a number of difficult stunts, including three boats spinning in situ at close range. The last three tugboats opened the water curtain in the “dance” performance, causing a round of applause from the audience.
According to information released by the St. Petersburg municipal government, the Icebreakers Festival aims to popularize knowledge about icebreakers with a variety of fun activities, as well as concerts and drone shows during the festival.
