CNN’s latest news: FBI Director Christopher Ray will remain in office, which means he can continue to serve for six years.

President Biden has confidence in the FBI’s leadership, a senior administration official told CNN.

Christopher Ray took office as the director of the FBI on August 2, 2017.

Under U.S. law, the Director of the FBI serves a 10-year term of office, nominated by the President, and formally appointed after a Senate hearing and voting.
