April 5th, local time, the Afghan Ministry of Defense issued a statement saying that in the past 24 hours, Afghan security forces, with the support of air forces, have attacked the Taliban in Kandahar province. 37 Taliban members were killed and 28 Taliban members were injured in the operation. In addition, the security forces seized 90 motorcycles, destroyed a large amount of weapons and ammunition, and removed 76 improvised explosive devices previously placed by the Taliban.

For the previously Taliban-held area, Afghan security forces regained control and rebuilt three bridges destroyed by the Taliban in the area, which are now open to the public.
