According to local media reports, on the evening of May 1st, local time, near a church on Lagoumitzi Street in the Neos Kosmos district, south of Athens, Greece, a group of young people celebrating a traditional festival released a large amount of mixed alcohol burners with loud blasts on the pavement under the overpass.
The concentration of burning materials is too powerful, igniting roadside trees and green belts. Fortunately, several fire engines on standby rushed to the scene and quickly put out the fire, which did not lead to a great tragedy.
According to reports, this very dangerous way of celebrating first appeared in the same neighborhood in 2011, and has become the region’s “reserved show” every year.
