According to the report, the fire occurred at about 6:50 a.m. local time on the 24th, on the 12th floor of an apartment building in the northern part of Jinjing District, Busan.
A 13th floor resident has reportedly reported seeing smoke coming out of the lower floor of the apartment building. Subsequently, firefighters rushed to the scene and evacuated other residents of the apartment building.
According to fire officials, search and rescue personnel found one death on the 12th floor, and three others were injured by inhaling thick smoke. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
