November 24th – On the 23rd local time, the Biden team announced the nomination of former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry as the President’s Special Envoy on Climate Change. Kerry subsequently responded that “the climate crisis will be dealt with due seriousness and urgency”, and Trump’s niece Mary Trump also tweeted that he had Congratulations.

According to the Washington Post, Biden’s transition team issued a statement on the 23rd, appointing Kerry as the presidential climate envoy to deal with climate change full-time. The President’s Climate Envoy, a position on the White House National Security Council, will report directly to Biden.

U.S. media pointed out that Kerry, who served as Secretary of State during Obama’s second term, played a key role in the negotiation of the 2015 Paris climate agreement.

Kerry also tweeted on the 23rd that he intends to solve the world’s most pressing environmental problems in a new position: “The work we began with the Paris Climate Agreement is far from complete.

I returned to the government position to get the United States back on track and solve the biggest challenges that our generation and future generations will face. The climate crisis needs everyone to work together.

Notably, Trump’s niece Mary Trump also tweeted congratulations to Kerry, saying: “The United States will welcome a presidential climate envoy (John Kerry!) who will serve on the National Security Council. This is great! Paris Climate Agreement, here we come.

Mary Trump holds a PhD in psychology, and her father is Trump’s eldest brother.

This year, she published a book to expose the family’s “black history” and commented on Trump in her own eyes. The White House has accused the book of being “full of lies”. Trump’s younger brother, Robert, tried unsuccessfully to prevent the publication of the book in court.
