The province of Quebec, Canada, has imposed a province-wide curfew from 20.00 p.m.

Eastern time on the 9th. Local media said that this was the first time that Canada had implemented a curfew to control the epidemic.

According to the provisions of the curfew, the curfew period is from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day from January 9 to February 8th local time. During this period, the vast majority of people were unable to go out except for special circumstances and can prove to the police.

Those who violate the curfew will be fined at least 1,000 Canadian dollars and a maximum fine of 6,000 Canadian dollars

However, the curfew was protested by some people. That night, there were small anti-curfew protests in Sherbrooke, Quebec City, the capital, etc. It is reported that the police issued more than a dozen tickets to these people.

In Montreal, the province’s largest city, more than 50 people held anti-curfew protests at the Mount Royal subway station, which lasted for a short time and disbanded themselves.
