A female teacher at a Catholic high school in Ohio has been charged with “inducing a 15-year-old student and having sex with him in his car,” The Sun reported.
Harrison County prosecutors say Corissa McCalister, 21, teaches Spanish at Central Catholic High School. She was arrested on 23 April and charged with two counts of sexual assault. It is understood that none of the alleged offences took place on campus. McAllister was released after posting $100,000 bail.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said the victim’s mother told school staff about the allegations. One of the incidents occurred on March 30, 2021, at the Harrison County Playground, when McAllister drove the teenage schoolboy home after a track and field race.
According to local media reports, McAllister stopped at a playground and had sex with the teenager. It is understood that she is also the school’s track and field assistant coach and cross-country team coach.
McAllister’s personal information on the job-hunting platform shows that she graduated from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish education and a minor in English literature and Spanish-language medical services. McAllister also received the 2020 Spanish Award, which is awarded to the best comprehensive student in the Spanish major.
The school’s principal said McAllister had been asked to take administrative leave.
