A member of the “Brexit” negotiating team tested positive for Coronavirus, Europe and Britain decided to temporarily suspend negotiations

Barnier, the EU’s chief negotiator in charge of Britain’s “Brexit” affairs, said on social media on the 19th that because a member of the EU negotiating team tested positive for the new crown virus, the EU and the UK decided to temporarily suspend current negotiations. 

After that, the teams of both parties will continue to advance negotiations while fully complying with the epidemic prevention rules.

Beginning this Monday, the EU-UK negotiating team will continue to negotiate a future relationship with a trade agreement as the core in Brussels. A spokesperson for the European Commission said earlier this week that the two sides have increased their negotiations and strive to reach an agreement as soon as possible protocol.
