More than 3.05 million people in the country were affected by the disaster, and floods caused by typhoons in many places entered a state of disaster, mainly in Luzon, the most densely populated island in the Philippines.
At present, “Huan Gao” has left the Philippines for 5 days, but the Philippine National Disaster Reduction and Management Committee (NDRRMC) data shows that as of the 17th, hundreds of thousands of people are still homeless in the country, of which more than 280,000 are evacuated. More than 150,000 people stayed outside the shelter.
According to a report from the “Philippine Star” on the 18th, Philippine President Duterte will issue an executive order this week to establish a large task force that will accelerate reconstruction and recovery after destructive weather disturbances.
Harry Locke, spokesperson for the President of the Philippines, said that details about the creation of a reconstruction working group are being worked out.
Aides close to Duterte also confirmed that they are preparing to issue an executive order.
