15th Nov Sudan will have a day off nationwide to celebrate the signing of the “Peace Agreement” in Darfur. It is estimated that 250,000 people will gather at the Freedom Square in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, for a large-scale celebration.
The Sudan Health Emergency Committee approved this gathering activity as an exception, recommending that participants wear masks, wash their hands frequently, and follow evacuation regulations to reduce the risk of the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
The committee also stated that the armed forces will spray disinfectant in the air and on the ground during the event, and the health department will provide protective equipment such as masks and hand sanitizer on site.
Recently, the number of people diagnosed with Coronavirus pandemic in Sudan has increased significantly compared with two weeks ago.
