On the morning of November 21, local time, a wave disaster occurred in Danjhua Zaye Township, Monbang, southern Myanmar. Waves at high tide washed dozens of people into the sea. At present, 15 people have died and more than 20 people have disappeared.
The local rescue department confirmed on social media on the morning of the 21st that some people went to the pagoda to worship Buddha. When they returned, they encountered disastrous waves at the seaside and were washed into the sea. As of 15 hours local time on the 21st, 15 bodies had been found by rescue workers, and rescue work is still in progress.
