Aug. 13 2021 A New Jersey inmate who was released early because of an outbreak has murdered another youth just two days after he was released from prison, U.S. media have revealed.
New Jersey prison officials confirmed to the media on the 11th that 25-year-old Jerry Crawford had previously served time in New Jersey for burglary, FoxNews.com reported Wednesday.
On November 4, 2020, he was released on parole due to coronavirus outbreak. Just two days after Crawford was released from prison, he was charged with shooting 18-year-old Scarborough. Along with Crawford, Wittes was also released less than a month before the shooting.
U.S. media pointed out that Scarborough was found with multiple bullets, fell less than a kilometer from Crawford’s release from prison. Both Crawford and Wittes have been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy to murder.
