The first group in the Olympic Village is now infected with the Greek Olympic delegation 5 people positive

Four athletes and one related person from the Greek delegation’s synchronized swimming team tested positive for coronavirus, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee said Thursday.

“It has to be said that it is a collective infection, ” said Gao Guzhengzhe, a spokesman for the Organizing Committee. Five people had previously stayed at the Olympic Village in Tokyo’s Qinghai, becoming the first case of a collective infection in the Village.

The Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced Thursday that 29 people, including the four athletes mentioned above, tested positive for the Games.
