May 10, local time, is Israel’s “Jerusalem Day”, a holiday to commemorate israel’s capture of control of the city in the third Middle East war in 1967. The days of unrest across Israel continued on this day. In the early morning of the same day, Israeli police and Palestinians in Jerusalem’s Old City, the Temple Mount and al-Aqsa Mosque again broke out in conflict, so far, there have been no reports of casualties and property damage.
Israeli police said in a statement that Jerusalem’s police chief, Kobi Shabtai, had arrived at the scene and ordered police stationed at the scene to use a “demonstration dispersal method” to repel lawbreakers who tried to cause trouble, and that Israeli police were working to eliminate violence on the Temple Mount.
The so-called “demonstration dispersal method” is to disperse demonstrators without live ammunition, but with non-lethal tools such as tear gas, rubber bullets and explosive flash bombs.
