April 28th 2021 the Spanish government issued an official decree that passengers entering the country from India should be subject to a 10-day quarantine to curb the entry into Spain of new cases of Variant coronavirus infection found in India.
The measure was approved and announced at a cabinet meeting on 27 April local time, and has been officially issued and entered into force since 28 April local time.
Spain’s ministry of health said there was “no evidence of an increase in infection rates caused by the variant coronavirus found in India”.
