The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has implemented a regional flight fuse mechanism for India, Pakistan and the Philippines from 0:00 on 20 April. All civil airliners from these areas are prohibited from landing in Hong Kong for a period of 14 days.
According to local media reports, a passenger plane from the Indian capital New Delhi to Hong Kong on April 4, passengers disembarked from the plane and checked into a hotel for isolation, during which a number of passengers have become ill, at least 50 people have been diagnosed with Coronavirus, described as a “heavy-hit flight.”
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the evening of the 18th that India, Pakistan and the Philippines had all been involved in the past 14 days, the cumulative number of 7-day related cases hit the relevant indicators, so the SAR Government on the 20th on the three regions to implement a regional fuse mechanism.
