April 20 2021 The health company responsible for running a clinic in York, Canada, has issued an apology after it mistakenly injected six people with the Pfizer vaccine.
According to the Toronto Star reported on the 19th, Mackenzie Health said in a letter sent on April 9th that its review found that some people had been mistakenly injected with physiological saline when they were vaccinated against Coronavirus at the clinic on March 28. “Physiological saline is harmless but does not prevent new coronaviruses,” the letter said.
Recipients need to be tested for antibodies in two weeks to see if they have been vaccinated against Pfizer. Upon receipt of the results, the clinic will reschedule the appointment for the Coronavirus vaccine as soon as possible. ”
Mackenzie Health also apologized in a statement. “Physiological saline is used to dilute vaccines. Although injection of physiological saline does not cause any harm, this should not have happened. We sincerely apologize for this mistake and the resulting uncertainty and concern.
“McKenzie Health Canada’s Coronavirus Vaccination Clinic currently provides Coronavirus vaccines to residents aged 65 and over.
