President Matarella delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the medical staff who have been fighting on the front line of the epidemic for a year, and expressing condolences to the medical workers who have contracted the epidemic and the families of the unfortunate deceased at work.
Italian Health Minister Speranza said at the celebration ceremony on the same day that with the arrival of the vaccine and the improvement of treatment capacity, the current anti-epidemic situation has greatly improved, but the battle cannot be regarded as a victory.
