February 2nd – Russian Sputnik News Agency quoted the Myanmar Times on the 2nd as saying that the Myanmar military’s request to suspend all domestic and international flights will continue until June.
The report quoted a notice to pilots saying that flight permits for all domestic, international and aid flights in Myanmar have been revoked and will last until 23:59 local time on May 31.
On the 1st local time, the Myanmar military detained many senior NLD officials such as Myanmar President Wen Min and State Senior Government Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and then declared a state of emergency for one year.
Myanmar military television reported that the presidential palace announced the transfer of state power to the commander-in-chief of the National Defense Force, Min Aung Lai.
According to previous reports, hundreds of Burmese parliamentarians are still detained in government houses in the capital Naypyidaw, and the army is guarded outside the building.
