In response to questions about the U.S. return to the Iran nuclear agreement, Saeed Khatibzadeh said that Iran was waiting for the United States to take relevant measures to effectively lift sanctions against Iran.
The so-called “effective” means that Iran needs to see the actual actions of the United States and their results. Signing documents alone cannot automatically return the United States to the Iran nuclear agreement.
At the same time, Khatibzadeh said that Iran has made it clear on several occasions that bilateral dialogue with the United States is unnecessary, and Iran will not do so.
According to the Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law promulgated by the Iranian Parliament, there are only a few weeks left before the establishment of the law.
If the parties concerned still do not take effective measures, Iran will take the next step.
According to Article 6 of the Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law, if the signatory countries to the Iran nuclear agreement violate the content of the agreement, Iran’s relations with international banks are not fully normalized, Iran’s oil and chemical exports are not completely removed, and Iran is unable to obtain oil revenue quickly, Iran will suspend the law two months after the law enters into force.

At the same time, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that if Iran suspends the implementation of the Additional Protocol to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agreement, verification activities related to the Additional Protocol will be suspended, but this does not mean that Iran will expel all inspectors and Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency will not stop.
