Combining the Hill and the American Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC), Biden will sign 15 executive orders on Wednesday covering a range of issues such as the pandemic and the student debt crisis.
Biden will reverse many of Trump’s orders, including the so-called “Muslim travel ban” and the construction of the southern border wall.
Biden’s first order would require Americans to wear masks on all federal properties (buildings and land) and maintain physical distancing.
Biden will also ask the Department of Education to extend the suspension of interest and principal payments on federal direct loans until at least September 30.
Biden will send top medical expert Fauci to lead a delegation to the latest WHO meeting, and Fauci will also address the WHO on Thursday.
In addition, Biden will sign an executive order to introduce the coronavirus task force into the White House and establish the post of coronavirus response coordinator, who will report directly to him.
Biden has previously appointed Jeff Zients as coordinator, who will manage vaccine distribution, virus testing and personal protective equipment.
