January 18th Morning time, South Korean President Moon Jae-in held a New Year’s press conference in South Korea’s Qingwadai.
Speaking of the situation on the Korean Peninsula, Moon Jae-in said that he would like to meet with Kim Jong-un, the supreme leader of North Korea, at any time.
Moon Jae-in said he believed that Kim Jong-un was willing to promote peace, denuclearization and dialogue on the peninsula.
Moon Jae-in said that what North Korea hopes to get from the United States is the guarantee of North Korea’s institutional security and the normalization of North Korea-United States relations.
North Korea and the United States can fully find a solution to the problem through close dialogue, and South Korea is willing to do its best to assist.
