According to a report on the U.S. “military” website on January 17, a soldier from the 1st Armoured Division of the U.S. Army was found dead at his home at the Fort Blis base.
The report said that the U.S. Army has identified the soldier who died at the Blisburg base.
He is a sergeant of the 1st Armoured Division named John D. S. Bailey. However, the U.S. military did not disclose more information about his death, but said that the investigation was continuing.
The 27-year-old soldier, from Hawaii, who joined the army in January 2013, was an infantryman specializing in mortar weapons systems.
He arrived at Fort Blis Base in March 2019.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of such a smart and talented non-commissioned officer,” said Colonel Christopher, the commander of the company of the 4th Battalion of the 70th Armored Regiment of the United States.
It is reported that this is the second death of soldiers in a month at the Blisberg base.
Previously, a 19-year-old female soldier from the U.S. Army’s Fort Blisberg Base was found dead on New Year’s Eve at the base.
The body of the Army Private named Asia Graham was found at the headquarters of the Fort Bliss Base on December 31, 2020.
She was later declared dead.
The incident is also the latest in a series of mysterious disappearances or deaths of soldiers at a Texas military base.
Blisberg Base officials are still searching for Army Private Richard Halliday, who disappeared at the base last July, who is believed to have deliberately fled the military base.
