According to local media reports in South Africa, in the early morning of January 1, local time, a serious car accident occurred on the highway near the town of Karu in the Western Cape Province, South Africa, killing eight people.
It is reported that the vehicles involved include two CMB taxis and one truck.
After preliminary investigation, the cause of the accident was that one of the CMB taxis attempted to overtake on the highway and then collided with the oncoming truck, which hit another CMB taxi at the same time to avoid emergency.
According to a spokesman for the South African police, the traffic accident is still under further investigation.
