Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced the route of the Tokyo Olympic torch relay yesterday, which will take place for 121 days from March 25 next year. The route of the relay is basically the same as the route formulated before the postponement.
The Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee said that fewer vehicles and participants would be reduced during the torch relay, but the number of torchbearers remained unchanged.
According to the torch relay plan announced by the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee, the first day of the torch relay will begin on March 25 next year at the Fukushima National Football Training Center, and arrive at the Olympic Stadium on the opening day of the opening ceremony on July 23.
During the 121-day relay, the torch will spread to 859 districts in 47 prefectures of Japan, and the number of torchbearers will remain about 10,000 as planned.
