On November 4 an Austrian resident was sentenced to eight months in prison at the Linz District Court for violating the gun law, confiscated all his illegal guns, fined 960 euros, and imposed a gun ban on him.
According to the judge, the man was arrested on April 4 this year. The police found 170 types of weapons and a large amount of ammunition in his home, including 30 rifles, 100 pistols and some other weapons.

During the interrogation, the man’s defense lawyer stated that he had never posed any threats, but was interested in technology and possessed weapons.
He added that he had never sold any weapons and he felt sorry for the illegal weapons, but this was his property for decades.
