Zambia will receive the first batch of coronavirus vaccines in February this year.

According to a report by Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation on the 12th local time, Professor Lloyd Murunga, director of infectious diseases at the Zambia Ministry of Health, said on the same day that Zambia will receive the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines in February this year.

Murunga said that the first vaccines received in Zambia will give priority to vaccination 20% of the country’s people at higher risk of infection, such as journalists, health workers, the elderly and border crossing workers.

In addition, the Zan government has also formulated a plan to vaccinate all citizens against the novel coronavirus.
