Yemen’s Houthi Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Sarria held a press conference on the evening of January 4 local time to summarize the war between the Houthi forces of Yemen and the Yemeni government forces and the Saudi-led coalition forces in 2020.
Yahya said that in 2020, the Houthis controlled 13 of the 22 provinces of Yemen, and the Saudi-led coalition forces carried out at least 8,888 air strikes and reconnaissance activities in these areas.
Houthis carried out a total of 974 attacks on Hadi and coalition forces, including head-on attacks, infiltration and drone attacks, causing 15,366 Hadi government forces to be killed or injured.
In 2020, Houthis launched a total of 253 ballistic missiles, of which 75 were targeted in Saudi territory. In addition, Yahya said that the Houthis also killed, injured and captured a large number of Saudi and Sudanese soldiers in 2020, but did not give specific figures.
