West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Illinois have the highest number of new cases of Coronavirus in a single day

According to data from the Ministry of Health website, West Virginia has reported 885 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed and probable cases to 30,201. Seven people died on Tuesday (10th), bringing the total number of deaths to 553. The single-day positive detection percentage was 5.9%, and the cumulative positive detection percentage was 3.11%.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) said that Wednesday (11th) Illinois reported the highest daily increase. As of press time, there have been 12,657 new cases and another 145 deaths. As of Tuesday night, it was reported that 5,042 people in the state were hospitalized due to the Coronavirus, including 951 intensive care patients and 404 patients requiring ventilators. The statement added that from November 4 to 10, 2020, the statewide initial positive rate of positive tests for 7 days was 13.6%. According to IDPH data, a total of 102 counties in Illinois recorded a total of 523,840 COVID-19 cases, including 10,434 deaths.

According to a press release from the Department of Health, Pennsylvania announced the highest number of new cases in a single day on Tuesday, at 4711. In the past few days, the state’s Coronavirus cases have been on the rise, with a total of 243,368 infections so far. Pennsylvania also reported 59 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths related to the coronavirus to 9,145. The Ministry of Health stated that the incidence of the disease has increased significantly among young people, especially those aged 19 to 24. As of Wednesday, 1948 people have been hospitalized in Pennsylvania and 417 are currently receiving intensive care. According to the department, most hospitalized patients are over 65 years old.
