Violent protests in Uganda’s capital have killed 28 people

November 20th Ugandan government announced that violent protests in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, had killed 28 people.

Ukrainian military spokesman Flavia Bijekwaso said that troops have been deployed in the capital and major towns to prevent the escalation of protests.

Uganda will hold presidential elections on January 14 next year. On the 3rd of this month, the Ugandan Election Commission announced 11 presidential candidates, including current President Museveni.
