Police in Fontana, California, released a police law enforcement video on the 13th. Video captures a shooting in February.
Footage taken by law enforcement recorders shows police searching for a burglary suspect before finding Kennard, an African-American man in the bathroom.
Without confirming any information, police fired a single shot at Kennard, causing him to die at the scene.
It is understood the man was shot, aged less than 29, who police said was holding a metal object, which turned out to be a lighter. Local media said the police are still on duty.
