Texas, U.S., April 30 2021 Police in Houston, Texas, announced that more than 90 people were found “crowded together” at a home and suspected of being kidnapped, several of whom showed symptoms similar to new coronary pneumonia.
Houston police said they found the location of the home after receiving information about a possible kidnapping, the Capitol Hill News reported. When police arrived at the scene, they found the 90 people, most of them men, but no one was tied up.
Police treated the group and said they were not seriously injured. However, many of them develop symptoms associated with Coronavirus, including loss of taste, smell, and fever. The health department will conduct tests.
Police said they were investigating the leaders who brought the men to their homes and believed the case was more like a people smuggling case than a human trafficking case.
