November 16th. According to the Vietnam News Agency, the Office of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention in Vietnam stated that as of 17:00 local time on the 15th, the typhoon “Huan Gao” has injured at least 18 people and over 1,500 houses in Vietnam Damaged.
According to the report, of the 18 injured, 8 were in Quang Binh Province, 7 were in Quang Tri Province, and 3 were in Quang Nam Province. Affected by the typhoon, 5 houses collapsed and the roofs of more than 1,500 houses were blown away. Among them, Chengtian-Hue Province was seriously affected, with more than 1,200 houses damaged in total.
According to reports, the typhoon “Huan Gao” made landfall in central Vietnam on the morning of the 15th and weakened into a tropical depression after invading Chengtian-Hue province.
The Vietnamese authorities have instructed various local departments to closely follow the tropical depression and the storm and flood after the typhoon, take typhoon prevention and response work at any time, and minimize power outages and communication interruptions to ensure the safety and order of evacuation resettlement areas.
