Two staff members and 64 inmates at a prison in Lisbon – Portugal tests positive for coronavirus
On November 12, local time, a total of 2 staff members and 64 prisoners in Lisbon prison in
Portugal were diagnosed with coronavirus.
At present, all prisoners diagnosed with the coronavirus have been isolated.
It is reported that about 200 inmates and 30 staff in
the prison received nucleic acid testing for the coronavirus on Wednesday.
The General Administration of Prison Services said that it will conduct nucleic acid testing for
coronavirus on all more than 900 inmates and more than 240 staff in the prison. .
At present, the prison’s visits, educational activities, vocational training and work have been suspended
but prisoners can contact the outside world by telephone.
