April 10th, local time, a shooting outside the Salt Lake County prison in Utah, USA, injured two prison guards and the suspect was shot dead on the spot.
Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera said at a press conference that at about 10:30 that day, a dispute broke out outside the prison and induced a shooting. Two injured prison guards were taken to the hospital for treatment, one of whom was shot in the eye, in critical condition. The police did not disclose the details of the suspect, and the relevant departments are investigating the details of the case.
Rivera pointed out that the current law enforcement environment in the United States is “very dangerous” and that the authorities have blocked the prisons involved and the surrounding sections for investigation.
