Recently, two plainclothes policemen in the United States, dressed as Santa Claus and his elves, successfully stopped a car theft in California.
According to the New York Post on the 13th, the police in Riverside, California, said that the police were involved in a campaign called “Santa Claus Intervention” to curb theft during the holiday.
On the 10th, the police found three men suspected of stealing a white car in the parking lot of Canyon Springs shopping mall and tried to escape after being found.
Detective Paul Miranda recalled: “I saw Santa Claus running past me and chasing the suspect”. Video shows that the police officer dressed as Santa Claus threw one suspect to the ground heavily, while another officer dressed in elf costume arrested another suspect at gunpoint.
Police said that one of the two suspects detained was later released and the other was arrested for possession of illegal drugs and resisting arrest. Another suspect at large has been identified and is wanted.
