May 7 2021 As the number of Coronavirus cases continues to climb in the Indian capital, local demand for medical equipment such as medical oxygen has increased significantly.

Two medical staff in Delhi have been arrested on suspicion of selling oxygen cylinders on the black market.

Police in Delhi, India, arrested two people suspected of selling oxygen cylinders on the black market during the outbreak, ANANI news network reported. One of them was ambulance driver Yadav, who was sold to patients in need at a high price after inflating the oxygen cylinders.

The other was the ambulanceman Kumar, who was in charge of the two-person gang looking for people in desperate need of oxygen.

In accordance with the relevant laws, the local police department has opened an investigation into the two defendants.

Police also seized a 50-litre oxygen cylinder from them.
