January 26 – Recently, two dangerous criminals escaped from Arizona State Prison. The governor of the state has publicly offered a reward of $70,000 to seek clues from the public.
According to NBC News on the 25th, the two criminals are John Charpiot, 49, and David Harmon, 61.
Shapio was sentenced to 35 years in prison for child molestation and sexual assault in 2011, and Harmon was sentenced to 100 years in prison for kidnapping and second-degree theft. It is reported that the two men were last seen on January 23.
When the prison counted at 8:30 p.m. that day, it was found that their whereabouts were unknown. The authorities are arresting them and think that the two are “dangerous people”.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey announced on January 24 that he and the U.S. Marshals Service offered a reward of $70,000 for collecting information that would help arrest the two fugitives.
“Law enforcement will be searching for and trying to get them as soon as possible,” Ducey tweeted.
The Arizona Department of Corrections also said that arresting the two men was their top priority.
