Turkish Statistical Agency: GDP growth of 6.7% in the third quarter
The Turkish Statistical Agency announced on November 30th that the gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter increased by 6.7% year-on-year.
According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Agency, despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, Turkey’s economic performance in the third quarter was good, with GDP growth of 6.7% year-on-year. Previously, the market expected the Turkish economy to achieve about 5% growth in the third quarter.
It is reported that Turkey’s GDP increased by 4.4% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2020, but contracted 9.9% in the second quarter. \
