Tunisian navy rescued 50 illegal immigrants

According to a report by the Tunisian Africa News Agency, on January 11 local time, the Tunisian Ministry of Defense announced that its naval forces had rescued 50 illegal immigrants from African countries, including four Tunisians, 45 kilometers east of the east coast of Mahdia.

The Ministry of Defense said that the illegal immigrants set out from the city of Sfax on the east coast of the country on January 6 and planned to smuggle to Europe.

These illegal immigrants are between 15 and 50 years old, including 11 women and one baby died in smuggling.
