Tunisia, December 30 Tunisian Health Minister Mehdi issued honorary certificates to China’s 24th medical aid team on the 30th. Zhang Jianguo, Chinese ambassador to Tunisia, Li Shihu, captain of the 24th medical aid team, and others attended the event on that day.
Mehdi said that the traditional friendship between Tunisia and China is deep, and China has sent medical teams to Tunisia since the 1970s.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 this year, China has provided a number of medical supplies to the Turks, and handed over to the Turks in time the Sfax General Hospital built with Chinese assistance.
The Turks sincerely thank the Chinese government and people for their selfless assistance to Tunisia, and is willing to further strengthen cooperation between Turks and China in the field of medical and health care and continue to benefit the two countries and peoples.
Zhang Jianguo said that China is willing to continue to provide more anti-epidemic assistance to Tunisia within its capabilities, and further enrich the connotation and level of cooperation between the two countries in the post-epidemic era.
China’s 25th medical aid team has recently arrived in Tunisia. The new group of medical team members will continue to carry forward the spirit of saving lives and helping the wounded and love boundlessly, and continue to write a new chapter of Sino-Autra-Akistan friendship.
On the same day, the Chinese Embassy in Tunisia also donated a batch of anti-epidemic materials to the Turks.
