Tsunami Warning Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources: Japan’s earthquake may trigger local tsunamis

February 13, 2021, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake occurred off the east coast of Honshu, Japan (37.69 N, 142.01 E), with a focal depth of 60.0 kilometers.

According to the preliminary seismic parameters, the tsunami warning center of the Ministry of Natural Resources may cause local tsunamis around the focal point, but it will not affect China’s coast.
