AFP just reported that US President Trump has just tweeted a warning that he will address supporters in Washington on the morning of January 6th, Eastern Time, to protest against Congress’ certification of the 2020 election results.
Trump tweeted on the evening of the 5th local time, “I will speak at the ‘Save America rally’ held in the Oval Park (near the White House) at 11 a.m. Eastern time tomorrow.
Come early – it will open at 7 a.m. Eastern time. There will be) a crowded crowd!
On January 6th, Eastern Time, the Senate and the House of Representatives of the United States Congress will hold a joint meeting to formally count the votes of the electoral votes, certify the voting results of the electoral college, and announce the official results of the presidential election.
As the President of the Senate, Pence will chair a joint meeting of both houses of Congress on the 6th to supervise the certification process of the results of the electoral college vote.
