According to the latest news from the Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Working Group of Quang Tri Province, Vietnam on November 15, 6 people in the province were injured in the process of transferring to shelters due to the impact of the “Huan Gao” landing in central Vietnam. According to the People’s Committee of Quang Binh Province, Vietnam, two fishing boats were capsized on the 15th by the “Huan Gao” landing. No one was left on the boat when the accident occurred and no casualties were caused.
Affected by the “Huan Gao” landing, strong winds and rains occurred in many coastal areas from Ha Tinh Province to Da Nang City in the central region of Vietnam, and many building roofs were damaged and trees fell.
According to the Central Meteorological and Hydrological Forecast Center of Vietnam, by around 19:00 on November 15th, the center of the tropical storm “ring high” will move to the border area between Vietnam and Laos, and its intensity will be reduced to tropical depression.
However, due to the mountainous area and complicated geological conditions, the local meteorological department still reminds local people to prepare for secondary disasters such as landslides and mudslides.
