April 6th – Local time, the torch relay activity of the Tokyo Olympic Games was held in Aichi Prefecture. After many episodes of the torch extinguishing, the torch relay on that day had another accident. A box used to hold the torch caught fire due to staff mistakes.
According to a report by Japan’s Daily Sports on the 6th, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee said that after the torchbearer completed the relay of the fifth range on that day, the torch that had been put into the box before it cooled down, causing some materials in the box to catch fire.
The person in charge later said, “This is not a fire. This is an accident caused by a human error. I’m very sorry.
